Quick organized service is important.  Agile creative thinking can make the best of an otherwise unpleasant or forgettable experience. Clear communication with customers, colleagues and management is key to solving/avoiding problems and ensuring excellent service. A level of trust and understanding is needed to assure suggestive selling technique are successfully received and considered by customers.

    General Job Description:

    • To provide our guests with the highest level of consistent, professional and well-mannered service.

    • Washing and sanitizing of all dishes

    • Light prep work if needed.
  • Line Cook - Alice's

    Alice's is seeking hardworking individuals to join their team!

    Line Cook duties and responsibilities:

    A Line Cook prepares food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.

    Some of the key duties and responsibilities include:

    • Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations

    • Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, etc...

    • Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance

    • Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to requests and on time

    • Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts

    • Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations

    Line Cook skills and qualifications:

    • At least one year of cooking experience

    • Excellent kitchen administration knowledge and ability to work as part of a team

    • Strong organization and active listening skills

    • The ability to work on your feet for 10-12 hours a day and lift 30 pounds at a time

This interaction is essential in assuring a positive experience for customers. Quick, accurate, and organized service is important. Clear communication with customers, colleagues, and management also is key to solving/avoiding problems and ensuring excellent service.

    General Job Description:

    Each Crew Member works together to manage the entire boat dining room. As part of their job, a Crew Member must:

    • Arrive to work on time, in clean uniform and ready to work
    • Check your schedule weekly to see if there are any changes
    • Keep availability up to date
    • Must be available to work on weekends
    • Must be available to work holidays
    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Make sure tables are set properly, clean, and ready for customers
    • Check cruise manifest for any accommodations, allergies, table setups, etc.
    • Thoroughly understand menu items, specials, bar offerings, and some Lake Hopatcong history
    • Take and deliver drink orders in a timely fashion
    • Master handheld ordering device and must use them
    • Clear tables of any evidence of consumption
    • Stock station with enough service items for an entire cruise
    • Exude confidence in the products, procedures, and corporate policies of Lake Hopatcong Cruises.
    • Accept guest payment and deliver in a timely fashion to bartender
    • Make specific drink recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages
    • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the galley, bathrooms, dining room, and upper deck
    • Maintain buffet and serve guests food
    • Take dirty dishes off the boat and to restaurant to be cleaned
    • Restock and replenish boat inventory and supplies
    • Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the guests always satisfied
    • Pick-up and load food onto Miss Lotta before each cruise
    • Perform opening and closing checklist duties
    • Report all low stock, equipment problems, and maintenance issues to management
    • Notify management anytime a guest is not 100% satisfied with their experience
    • Properly ID someone if underage or believed to be underage
    • Must attend all safety classes (CPR, First Aid, AED, Safety drills)
    • Fully up to date with company details, policies, cruise descriptions, prices & schedule
    • Drive the Gator or Golf Cart safely and correctly.
    • New employees must work 2 training shifts
